On September 15, 2024, Cornerstone Youth Collective received its first grant award of $2,000 from the Ludlow Foundation.
This funding supported the early development of our CYLINK program, strengthening how we connect young adults to housing and essential services. This was a meaningful milestone as we began formalizing and expanding our work.
We’re grateful to the Ludlow Foundation for their early support and investment in our foundation.
On October 14, 2024, Cornerstone Youth Collective was awarded $30,000 through a Capacity Building initiative from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
This funding strengthened our internal systems and infrastructure, allowing us to operate more consistently and expand support for young adults.
We’re grateful for the trust placed in our work and the opportunity to continue building sustainably.
On October 21, 2024, Cornerstone Youth Collective was awarded $20,000 through the Raikes Foundation Young Grantmakers Initiative.
This funding directly supported stabilization efforts for young adults, including housing assistance, essential needs, and resource coordination. It allowed us to expand direct support while continuing to build our operational capacity.
We appreciate the Raikes Foundation’s continued support of community-based organizations doing this work every day.
On March 9, 2026, Cornerstone Youth Collective was awarded $15,000 through King County’s Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini-Grant.
This investment supports core infrastructure across financial systems, fund development, HR, communications, and technology—strengthening CYC’s ability to operate at scale and deliver consistent outcomes.
The award reflects recognition from King County that CYC is a growing, active provider within the human services network.
On November 26, 2025, Cornerstone Youth Collective was awarded $28,313 through the King County Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Capacity Building initiative, administered by the Adult Services Division.
This funding supports organizational infrastructure, technical assistance, and system coordination across the region. It allows us to continue strengthening how we operate while maintaining consistent support for the communities we serve.
We appreciate King County’s investment in community-based organizations and the work happening on the ground.
On March 19, 2026, Cornerstone Youth Collective was selected for the NextCycle Washington Capacity-Building Pilot Program in partnership with Communities of Opportunity.
Through this program, CYC will receive $5,000 in capacity-building support to further develop a project grounded in our day-to-day housing stabilization work.
This project formalizes a process we already see across client transitions: usable household items being discarded when someone is forced to move, while others are entering housing without basic furnishings. This pilot allows us to build a simple, low-barrier system to hold and transfer those items within our client community, reducing waste while directly supporting stability.
The funding supports early-stage coordination, design, and documentation of this model, allowing us to test and refine the approach in real conditions.
We appreciate the opportunity to continue building this work in a way that reflects both community need and long-term sustainability.
